2 years after Eric Conn's capture in Honduras, judge denies motion to get out of prison
(WYMT) - A federal magistrate denied Eric C. Conn's motion to get out of prison.
In October, Conn claimed in a handwritten document that the attorneys who represented him were ineffective.
He also claimed the escape charge was not relevant to him because he was released pending trial, subject to various terms and conditions.
Conn pleaded guilty to escape and to defrauding the Social Security Administration. A judge sentenced him last September to 27 years in prison.
Wednesday marks two years since we first learned officials found him in a Honduran Pizza Hut.
